Rajeev is the Head of Public Markets at Premji Invest. Since he took on this role in 2022, Rajeev has been focussed on developing and implementing a structured "quantamental" investment process for the Indian market, which combines the complementary aspects of quantitative and fundamental investing to improve decision making and over time drive better portfolio outcomes.
Rajeev has more than 20 years of experience in the investing space. Prior to PI, Rajeev was a Portfolio Manager and Director of Research, at AllianceBernstein (AB) in their Hong Kong office where he managed multiple regional (Asia ex-Japan, Emerging Markets) equity portfolios. He started at AB as a consumer and healthcare analyst in 2006, and was also the global head of the consumer sector team. Before AB, Rajeev worked with Citigroup Asset Management in London, covering the European Consumer sector. He started his career at McKinsey & Co.
Rajeev grew up in Hyderabad, did his B.Tech from IIT Madras followed by an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad. He loves to listen to music, hike and play bridge.
