Vedant Agrawal leads Premji Invest’s early-stage practice, focusing on software, consumer, FinTech, and healthcare.
Prior to PI, Vedant was an early-stage investor at Sequoia Capital India, involved in seed and series A investments in Scaler, Apna, and Classplus. He was also an early member of Surge, Sequoia Capital India’s program to accelerate founders’ journeys with up to $3M capital, workshops and a strong community of mentors. At Scaler Academy, one of India’s leading ed-tech players, Vedant co-led the development of a new business line of education products to upskill software engineers. Aided by an amazing sales, marketing and engineering team, Vedant helped steer the business to $20M of annualized bookings within nine months of launch. Vedant started his career as a Business Analyst at McKinsey & Company.
He holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. Born in New Delhi and having spent his formative years in Mumbai and Bangalore, Vedant's journey has been diverse. Beyond work, Vedant enjoys racket sports like pickleball, tennis, and squash and is a budding golfer. A trained pianist, Vedant enjoys the arts and is a patron of local art and cultural events.
